Research Study Support Administrator

Main duties of the job
To support the Centre for Imaging (CMI) research team with study administration to ensure the efficient and successful delivery of Imaging trials and other studies according to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), standard operating procedures (SOPs), trust policies and all applicable regulations and governance. The Research Administrator will be a member of the CMI team, responsible for all research bookings for trial scans, ensuring bookings are conducted within the timelines set by the local standard operating procedures, as well as recording all research related services in the relevant Trial's Billing Trackers. The post holder must ensure all enquiries (face-to-face, email and telephone) are dealt with accurately and promptly and in line with departmental and Trust policies.

Many current UCLH consultant radiology staff are active members of the UCL Centre for Medical Imaging (CMI), one of the leading academic radiology departments in UK. The department researches all imaging techniques (including CT scanning, MRI, and ultrasound) and has particular expertise in imaging cancer, gastrointestinal disorders, bones and joints, and the brain. The department is currently based at UCLH and has office space in 250 Euston Road as well as the space in Charles Bell House (UCL).
University College Hospital has strong ties to the Royal Free and University College Medical School, one of the country's most prestigious medical schools. The hospital also benefits from close ties to University College London. The university campus has the greatest concentration of medical research in Europe, with the MRC clinical trials unit and the Welcome Trust just around the corner on Euston Road. Currently, UCLH patients and staff are participating in over 150 clinical trials.
UCLH works closely with the CRN North Thames Clinical Research Network, is part of the Network is part of the National Institute of Health Research Comprehensive Clinical Research Network (NIHR CCRN), which was established in April 2006 by the Department of Health with aims to improve the speed, quality, and integration of research, ultimately resulting in improved patient care.
We are committed to sustainability and have pledged to become a carbon net zero health service, embedding sustainable practice throughout UCLH. We have set an ambitious target of net zero for our direct emissions by 2031 and indirect emissions by 2040.
