TRUST GRADE DOCTOR IN NEURORADIOLOGYFull Time Appointment from January 2024

Applications are invited for a full time position in The Lysholm Department of Neuroradiology at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, UCLH NHS Foundation Trust from 1st January 2024, although there may be scope to extend the position.

We are looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our friendly multidisciplinary team and to support the diagnostic neuroradiology workload in one of London's premiere Teaching Hospital Trusts. This post would suit a post-FRCR or post-CCT radiologist, with some prior experience in neuroradiology, who wishes to gain a further dedicated period of experience in diagnostic neuroradiology at a recognised Neuroscience Centre.

Candidates must hold full GMC registration have obtained their FRCR 2B qualification. Essential qualifications for this post include some dedicated experience in neuroradiology, preferably at a recognised centre. The post is offered on a whole-time basis. Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will join a team of 7 diagnostic neuroradiology and 2 neurointerventional SpR trainees. He or she will be fully supported by a thriving and friendly department. A new dual-energy CT scanner has just been installed in the department and the department is undergoing a major refurbishment project whereby 2 new biplane angiography rooms are being installed together with additional replacement of the 1.5 T MR, 2x 3 T MR systems and the Interventional MRI suite. The department supports Gamma knife radiosurgery on site.

The doctor will have a role defined as follows:

o Take part in the reporting of plain films, CT and MR examinationso Perform US examinations (occasional body ultrasound and transcranial Doppler ultrasounds on in-patients.o CT-guided nerve root and facet injection sessionso Participation in the on-call rota, including evenings, weekends and night shifts o Other duties as required, including cover for leave and sickness absence.

o There are daily opportunities to attend teaching. These include grand rounds, clinico-pathologic cases, and consultant-led tutorials as well as twice weekly protected teaching sessions.
