Job summary

This new post is based in the Dementia Research Centre (DRC), at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, and will play an integral role in the internationally regarded multi-disciplinary DRC trials team.This is a new role, and we are seeking an enthusiastic and extremely organised person to provide administrative support and rating to enhance trial conduct at the DRC. As a clinical trials administrator and rater, you will assist with the administration of academic and commercial clinical trials for Alzheimer's disease and related dementias.You will also be expected to conduct standardised cognitive assessments of participants in clinical trials, ensuring these are performed to a high standard.As part of this role, you will be working closely with the trial coordinators, data managers, research fellows and research nurses to provide support in both trial administration and rating.

Main duties of the job

Provide administrative support for DRC trials:

  • Assistance in the set up and maintenance of trials
  • Support with the maintenance of site files and participant files, including regular review
  • Ensure high quality rating in trials and other studies:
  • Conduct cognitive assessments with study participants
  • Conduct relevant rating scales with participants' study partners
  • Work alongside the DRC and Leonard Wolfson Experimental Neurology Centre staff in rating
  • Work closely and communicate with the study coordinators and data manager to support trial conduct:
  • Assist with participant related activities such as visit booking, visit-related preparations, and expenses tracking
  • Ensure record keeping in compliance with Good Clinical Practicerequirement
