Adolescent Clinical Nurse Specialist

Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a maternity leave cover clinical nurse specialist interested in chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), medically unexplained symptoms (MUS), functional neurological disorder (FND)and Long Covid adolescent rehabilitation and Transition to join the Treatment and Rehabilitation for Adolescents and Children Complex Conditions Service (TRACCS) for a fixed time.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be key in advocating for adolescents and children and coordinating rehabilitation admissions for patients with conditions such as chronic fatigue syndrome, functional disorders, medically unexplained conditions and Long Covid in an inpatient, daycare, and outpatient setting. Facilitating effective transition is a key element of this role. The post will involve collaborative working with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and effective liaison across health, social care and education sectors ensuring the delivery of a consistent approach.

The postholder will be one of TRACCS team located in the Paediatric and Adolescent Division within UCLH NHS Trust and will be supported by the consultant nurse. The successful candidate will be an organised, motivated nurse who can ensure smooth care packages for adolescents and children seen in outpatients, day care and admitted to T12S ward.
