An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced nurse to work with a dynamic multidisciplinary team and manage a diverse team of nurses on John Young/Maida Vale Wards at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN).

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and enthusiastic leader.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to work with a dynamic MDT and manage a diverse team of nurses. A background in neurological care/acute care would provide you with suitable skills to provide the quality of care required for our unit.

The candidate must have excellent clinical acute care skills, outstanding communicator, can demonstrate first-rate organisational and multitasking skills; and have the ability to prioritise effectively and efficiently in a busy and fast-paced work environment. The post holder must promote and implement the UCLH Nursing & Midwifery strategy, contribute towards achieving the Trust objectives, and demonstrate our Trust values, behaviours, and standards.

Main duties of the job

John Young is an acute Neurology ward comprising of 26 beds across 2 small units at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. We take both elective and Urgent admissions and care for patients with a wide range of Neurological conditions including, Movement Disorders, Neuromuscular Diseases, Demyelination and Autonomics. As a national centre of excellence, we admit patients from all over the UK.
