We need a production technician with these qualities, and a friendly outgoing personality, to join the production team at UCL Hospitals. In return you will gain extensive experience and training in a licensed manufacturing unit.
You will need NVQ pharmaceutical sciences, science manufacturing technician level 3 or equivalent. Previous experience in aseptic dispensing is not essential but would be preferred.
Our busy aseptic service compounds TPN for adults ( 8000 pa ), and neonates , dispenses chemo drugs ( 50,000 pa ) and IV additives ( 12,000 pa ).
Main duties of the job
To assist and deputise for the Senior production technicians in the day to day delivery of the aseptic services from UCL Hospitals in accordance with the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice and nationally agreed standards. To assist in the aseptic training of new technicians and Pharmacy assistants.
To participate and support audit, risk management and clinical governance initiatives to provide safe and effective medicines management to staff and patients at UCLH.

Essential
- Educated to 5 GCSC's grade A-C / 9 - 4 including English, Mathematics and Science; or equivalent.
- Science Manufacturing Technician Level 3, BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services.
- Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council / Science Council
