Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Private Patient Billing administrator/ cashier located at 250 Euston Road and NHHN Cashiers office in Queens SquareThe position will ensure all Private Patient Activity is captured from across the trust wide sites and to cover the cashier's office on a rotational basis

Main duties of the job

The post holder will need to have excellent customer service skills, telephone manner and be used to dealing with patients accounts and face to face enquiresThe trust values are the heart of everything we do and are all committed to offering a top-quality service

KEY RESULT AREASo To capture and invoice private patient incomeo To secure funding for private patient activityo To liaise with the Private medical insurers and embassieso To be responsible for the identification and receipt of all cash/cheques/credit card payments received via the Cashiers Office for Queens Square.o To prepare and make payments for travel claims

The post holder will work under the supervision of the Private Patients Billing services Manager

Desirable

  • Minimum NVQ3 or equivalent
  • Sound knowledge of Oracle (or other major ERP systems like SAP)
  • Appreciation of an environment of Policies & Procedures and its continuous improvement
  • To be conversant with all Insurance Companies Pricing Policies.

Experience

  • Demonstrates experience within a finance function, with some experience within the health sector
  • Have experience of work undertaken unsupervised
  • Use of computerised accounting systems and spreadsheets

  • Experience of using an electronic patient record and a paying patients billing system
