If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Registered Paediatric or General Nurse to join our vibrant T11 East nursing team and senior nurse leadership team in our Childrens and Young Peoples Division.
- T11 East consists of 10 beds, providing elective medical and surgical day case care to children aged 1 - 19 years
- The service T11 East is mostly nurse-led and
- We care for children and young people with a variety of complex medical and surgical conditions
- We have a dedicated multi-disciplinary team to support our children and young people with their physical and mental health needs

Main duties of the job
- To work according to the NMC Code of Conduct and other professional guidelines
- To carry overall responsibility for the organisation and management of the ward, including the supervision of students.
- To provide a clear focus for clinical leadership and to be responsible for ensuring the provision of a high standard of holistic, patient-centred care
- To be accountable for co-ordinating patient care, the management of resources and performance of staff
- To be responsible and accountable for the Finance and Human Resources issues directly related to the ward /department
- To be responsible for the implementation of Audit, Quality and Risk Management initiatives
- To promote and participate in the implementation of the UCLH Nursing & Midwifery strategy and Core Standards and contribute towards achieving UCLH strategic and annual objectives
- To maintain a visible presence in the ward /department, undertaking clinical work regularly (a minimum of 50% of contracted hours)
