Job summary
The Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine (RLHIM) invites applications for a Band 8c Psychological Therapist to work as the Psychological Therapies Clinical Lead. We welcome applications from Psychotherapists/Psychologists with postgraduate training and experience in at least one accredited speciality therapy modality (CBT, Systemic, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy).
This part-time post offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of chronic, complex medical conditions. The post holder will contribute to the provision of assessments and therapeutic intervention both in individual and group sessions for a variety of patients attending RLHIM services including Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, Insomnia and Behavioural Sleep Medicine, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Women's services. The post holder will also lead the team of psychological therapists as well as working closely with medical consultants and managers to review clinical activity, performance and RTT. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills. They will be able to demonstrate service delivery and change management.
Main duties of the job
The RLHIM is a national and international centre for evidence-based practice, education and research in integrated medicine. Its philosophy of holism, individualisation and integration of treatment uses a multidisciplinary approach to assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation using conventional skills together with complementary therapies.
The successful candidates will be expected to possess excellent interpersonal skills, good organizational abilities and a willingness to learn. Experience of working with long term physical health conditions is essential. Apart from high level clinical skills the successful applicant will have vision and the willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team and assist in the development of clinical services. Clinics include some evening and Saturday clinics.
