Job summary
Applications are invited for the post of Anaesthesia Associate based at University College Hospital London. Candidates will be required to hold a Postgraduate Diploma or MSc in Anaesthesia Associate and be registered with the NMC or HCPC.
University College Hospital is a major teaching hospital with 26 operating theatres. It is a centre of excellence with expertise in major surgery, including upper and lower GI, orthopaedics, urology, paediatrics, head and neck, breast, gynaecology and thoracic.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to provide anaesthetic services to include: assisting with anaesthesia, monitoring and maintaining the condition of patients, and under supervision, conduct the induction and emergence from anaesthesia. In addition to this the post holder will provide advanced clinical skills by undertaking advanced practice in areas such as regional anaesthesia, conscious sedation, support for major surgery, and prescribing.
Candidates will work as part of an effective a team in a forward thinking and innovative learning environment, and will contribute to the academic life of the department and be involved in teaching and quality improvement / research.

- Advanced Life Support Provider.
