Job summary
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our Homecare and Procurement team to support the expansion of the medicine homecare and procurement services.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent organisational skills with a desire to provide a high quality, safe, effective and efficient service to our patients.
The successful candidate will act as a deputy to the Lead Homecare and procurement Pharmacist and work closely within a multidisciplinary team which includes the homecare and procurement teams, clinical pharmacists, nurses and doctors.
Main duties of the job
Key responsibilities will be:
- To facilitate the supply of medicines to patients receiving their medication via the Homecare Service
- To spend 20% of their time providing clinical support to Homecare clinics. This will include supporting the clinical team with initiation of new patients on specialised medicines, screening homecare prescriptions and drug teaching sessions.
- Conduct risk assessments of medicinal products before they're approved for purchase
- Support with drug switches and delivering savings
- Monitor drug switches
- Conduct audits to ensure Homecare suppliers work within the parameters of the National Key Performance Indicators
- To manage service review meetings with the homecare suppliers
- Support Homecare financial leads with clinical invoice queries
- Manage homecare incidents and complaint
The post holder will be based between UCLH hospital sites and B&D Centre at Brewery Road
