An opportunity has arisen for Band 3 Housekeeper to work with our dynamic team based at University College Hospital London at Westmoreland Street.
University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH), situated in the West End of London is one of the largest NHS Trusts in the UK. UCLH at Westmoreland Street, specialises in Urology and Thoracic surgery, and is a national centre for Robotic Prostatectomy.
Main duties of the job
The Housekeeper is a vital member of the multidisciplinary team and the post holder must have a genuine interest in and, understand the importance of maintaining a clean and tidy environment within the operating department. This will include maintaining the departmental stock rooms, monitoring levels of stock and sterile supplies, including surgical instrument supplies. This is a key role within the team, and you will be liaising with logistics and sterile services departments. Good communication skills are, therefore, essential for this post. Delegated work and duties will be assigned by the Theatre Service Manager. This role will involve a degree of autonomy in organising your work, and it should be noted that some elements, such as unpacking and putting away stock, are physically demanding.
