ECU Education Programme Manager

Job summary

The Emergency Capabilities Unit Education department is responsible for the national delivery of education for the following capabilities; CBRN, MTA & Mass Casualty, Conventional Rescue, Command and Control . The ECU Education Programme Manager will manage a portfolio which is responsible for the delivery of education for several of these capabilities and look to support the delivery of education within the EPRR environment. They will work closely with the Consultant Paramedic (Head of Education) to develop the delivery of education nationally and ensure that ECU Education meets their commissioned work streams each year.

Main duties of the job

o The post holder will provide managerial and leadership support to the programmes function of the department and lead the development of all recognised formal education under ECU to ensure courses remain current in line with best practice.o Take a key role in continuous improvement and development activity, contributing to developing new practices that will lead, through education, learning and personal/career development, to both improved patient care and staff job satisfaction and welfare.o As a member of ECU, the post holder will be actively involved in promoting best clinical practice within the Service.
