Job summary
The Management Accountant will be responsible for delivering financial and management accounts services for the Strategic Assets and Property directorate. Working closely with a Finance Business Partner and Finance Manager this role will work on account reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable, budget holder meetings, and producing management information. The role requires working within a larger multi-disciplinary team, therefore maintaining strong communication with finance colleagues, budget holders, and suppliers, and providing high-quality financial advice and performance information to managers is a must. Please note:

- The successful candidate will be expected to work a minimum of 3 days in the office.

Main duties of the job
The Management Accountant will assist in producing monthly budgetary and control reports, prepare and upload journals, investigate and resolve expenditure variances, and support budget holders with queries. Duties include managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining supplier statements, analysing financial discrepancies, and ensuring payroll details are correct. The role also involves preparing year-end accounts, maintaining financial records to audit standards, and providing financial advice to managers and staff.
