Job summary

  • To take responsibility for the efficient and reliable transportation of Trust vehicles to and from ambulance stations, fleet workshops and other contractors throughout London, often working alone and in full compliance of current legislation
  • To move vehicles throughout the London area, to plan movements efficiently, and to assist workshop staff when required.

Main duties of the job

Transport ambulance service vehicles throughout the London area as requested by VRC

Deliver and collect vehicles from workshops and main dealers

Assist in the transport of crews as and when required

To undertake any other reasonable request, and duties appropriate to the role

Qualifications

Essential

  • Good Standard of Education - minimum of 3 GCSES (or equivalent) at grade C to include English and Maths
  • Current UK Driving Licence full manual driving licence (no more than 3 penalty points)

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working within a public service or customer care environment
  • Ability to build up good relationships with internal/ external stakeholders
  • Customer focused with proven customer care skill and positive and professional manner and attitude at all times

Knowledge

Essential

  • A team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of Information Technology and proficient in the use of MS Office
