Job summary

Are you a management and leadership development specialist? Do you have extensive experience delivering culture change programmes?

If yes, we have an exciting new opportunity for someone who has a passion for leadership and culture to help shape our future and play a pivotal role in the delivery of our People and Culture strategy.

In this role, you will lead on the design and implementation of a creative and sustainable leadership and culture strategy for LAS. The key areas of responsibilities will be appraisal management (including the roll-out and embedding a Trust-wide e-Appraisal system), leadership development (including setting up a management/leadership development academy, facilitating action learning sets, coaching, and development tools i.e., insights), and leading on culture change and transformation programmes (including embedding values, tackling poor behaviours, employee experience/engagement, management of staff and pulse survey, leading the "Let it out" service, and a reward and recognition programme).

There are great networking and learning opportunities as the post holder will work alongside other business partners across the Directorate as well as with other Directorate leaders/teams and external providers.

Main duties of the job

Interviews will take place on Tuesday, 5 March 2024 2024 in person at our Headquarters, Waterloo, London.

  • Lead Organisational Development and Talent contact for all strategic people issues. Develop practical, comprehensive and deliverable strategic learning plans that enable workforce strategies and organisational development interventions, by developing value added solutions and initiatives that enable Culture transformation and delivery of high quality services and care to the staff and patients of London Ambulance Service.
  • Lead People and Culture (P&C) Team contribution to Directorate leadership teams and have in-depth knowledge and understating of each directorate to be able to tailor the OD and Talent provision to the specific directorate needs, as well as ensuring Directorate plans support and delivery Trust strategic goals.
  • Work collaboratively with senior managers to assess and plan organisational development initiatives and interventions in order to deliver workforce strategies.
  • Plan and deliver the implementation of complex Learning and OD programmes and joint ventures with new partners relating to service reconfiguration.
