This is a great opportunity to join our Senior Sector Clinical Lead [SSCL] team, working as the SSCL for SEL.
The SSCL role provides clinical leadership across multiple directorates internally within the London Ambulance Service. They support the delivery of the clinical strategy in the London Ambulance Service within their assigned sector; and further have involvement pan-London clinical portfolios. They are the clinical directorate representative in sectors, working with the operational leaders in sector and group, quality leads and operational staff.

Main duties of the job
Sector Senior Clinical Leads are responsible for ensuring effective clinical leadership and clinical excellence within the organisations delivery of urgent and acute care. Working within designated operational sectors the role will ensure this agenda is embedded within each sector and across the organisation.
The Sector Senior Clinical Lead will clinically lead, oversee and develop to the Clinical Team Managers to ensure the highest level of patient care is delivered and provide clinical assurance to the medical and operations management teams.
The Sector Senior Clinical Leads will act as an advocate for the profession and maintain a high level of clinical creditability by undertaking regular operational shifts demonstrating the ability to provide high quality clinical care for all patients groups.
The Sector Senior Clinical Leads will supervise the professional development of the paramedic workforce and provide senior clinical advice to junior colleagues.

Essential
- A minimum of a BSc in Paramedic Science or equivalent in a clinically appropriate area
- HCPC registered Paramedic
- On-going registration with a Professional body
- Full driving licence with the ability to drive under blue light conditions
- Clear evidence of leadership and development in the pre hospital setting
- Educated to Masters degree level, equivalent professional qualifications and/or substantial demonstrate experience in a similar role or setting
- Significant experience gained at a team leader, advanced practice or managerial level in clinical leadership
- Should have an appreciation of the relationship between the department of health, NHS England, NHS improvement and other key local and regional bodies within the London health economy
