Job summary
The purpose of this role is to support the delivery of excellent clinical care for patients by having the right equipment and products available at the right place at the right time. Supervising a team of operatives to carry out cleaning, movement and restocking of front line vehicles.
o Checking of and re-stocking of equipment and consumables including the use of barcode and RFID scanners and electronic reporting
o Organising cleaning and resources, including staff, to deliver to plan.
o Supervising operatives including adherence to process and H&S
o Ensure that all equipment and tools are functional and accessible, whilst examining equipment, and consumables for damages or missing items and actioning appropriately
o Supervise/Assist the movement of vehicles to facilitate cleaning and to ensure they are in the required location including collection from workshops and satellites. Recording vehicle movements and reporting in accordance with policy and procedure
o Handing over to day shift colleagues and ensuring communication of status of vehicles, issues and collaborative working.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be required to create daily plan of vehicle preparation of required Ambulances
- The post holder will be required to administer regular preparation, cleaning of operational vehicles, whilst following processes and procedures and adhering to all standards.
- Ensuring that all deep cleaning is in accordance with vehicle servicing scheduling.
- To ensure that all ambulances are re-stocked with consumables and have the required equipment on board, before the vehicle leaves the station
- To monitor equipment stores and log the used or stock items in real time using hand held scanning devices and linking with logistics and the CAMs system. Ensure accuracy to procedures, taking due care to ensure equipment and consumables are correctly labeled, stored and distributed.
- To supervise the VP team at the hub and provide logistic support within associated satellite stations where they are located. Including checking GRS is accurate including shift times, overtime and absence.
- To make regular checks of the vehicles after preparation to monitor the work undertaken by the team, auditing and recording quality and quantify.
- Work with the Service Desk / VRC / Ops Manager and at local station, keeping them up to date with any problems or issues
