Job summary
The Supply & Distribution department of the London Ambulance Service has invested in a new warehouse, inventory system and team structure to support one of the busiest ambulance services in the world.
The department is responsible for the supply of medical consumables, equipment and medicines packs to ensure frontline vehicles are stocked and available to respond to emergency calls. As a Warehouse & Delivery Operative you will play a key role in supporting frontline operations.
Your role will be split between warehouse and driving duties and we need people with warehouse and driving experience who can work efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines.
You will be expected to work a rotating shift pattern covering 7 days per week, 52 weeks per year including Bank Holidays. Shifts will run from one of our sites in Rainham or Lee.

Main duties of the job
The main duties of the Warehouse & Delivery Operative are:

Fork Lift training will be provided upon commencement of the role if not already obtained.

You will be required to move stock around the warehouse to ensure maximum efficiency and to ensure stock is rotated to prevent waste. Use plant machinery if qualified to do so such as a reach truck and/or fork lift.
