This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a diverse team, supporting the clinical education programmes for Ambulance Operations in one of the busiest ambulance services in the world. The Clinical Education and Standards department have moved to brand-new specialist education facilities, located at Dockside and Brentford and Barking and the Education Business Support Managers have a significant role in leading the future of education and developing the clinical workforce to support the people of London.
The successful candidate will be someone with strong communication and organisation skills. You will know how to motivate a team and will be a great problem-solver, finding innovative solutions for the day to day running of the function, while remaining flexible and adaptable in a fast-moving environment. You will take pride in your work, be proactive and will be a role-model for civility in the workplace.
Main duties of the job
Working closely with the Clinical Education Managers - Ambulance Services (East and West), the post is located at Dockside & Brentside Education Centres although pan London travel is required.
You will provide accurate, timely and reliable information to the Clinical Education Manager and their direct reports and maintain high levels of confidentiality.
You will provide appropriate managerial assistance to ensure agreed objectives are articulated and delivered through an efficient, high quality, confidential and timely service.
You will require strong influencing and assertiveness skills and be able to anticipate and identify the needs and concerns of your line manager and ensure that appropriate action is taken without instruction.
You will also be a role model of positive, inspirational and highly visible leadership, demonstrating the Service's values and adapting communication and style to match the situation and people.
