Although the recruiting Trust is North London NHS Foundation Trust, this post is based in Manchester and there is no expectation for successful candidate to be travelling to Trust sites in London on a regular basis.

An exciting job opportunity has arisen to join our newly commissioned Counter Terrorism Clinical Consultancy Service.
The CTCCS is a joint NHS andPolice Mental Health Team whichfacilitates information sharing withlocal mental health services forindividuals who have come to theattention of Counter TerrorismPolicing and who are thought toeither present a risk of seriousharm or have safeguarding,welfare or treatment needs in thecontext of mental disorder.
The aim of the team is to work with counter-terrorism officers in assessing and managing the risks posed by individuals with severe mental illness through advice, consultation, and detailed formulations to aid understanding.
Please note this is a national service and therefore there will be an expectation of regular travel to other sites within the region, including overnight stays on occasion.
The role will require security clearance to SC - Please note that this is a formal requirement for the job and can take in excess of six months from the point of SC application submission.

- A professional qualification relevant to mental health practice: RMN/Degree/Diploma in Nursing, CQSW/Degree/Diploma in Social Work. Degree in Occupational Therapy
Desirable
- Post graduate qualification in forensic mental health
Knowledge & Experience
Essential
- Significant knowledge of PREVENT
- Significant experience and knowledge of working with people with mental health problems.
- Experience in acute adult, multidisciplinary community mental health services.
- Significant experience of working within a Forensic/Criminal Justice environment.
- Significant experience of assessing risk and developing risk management plans
Desirable
- Evidence a good understanding of clinical governance and its application in this setting.
- Ability to be innovative in practice.
- Experience of giving written and oral evidence in a court or tribunal setting.
