Service Lead for Counter Terror Clinical Consultation Service

Job summary

This exciting job opportunity has arisen for a suitably talented, committed and engaging leader join our newly commissioned National Counter Terrorism Clinical Consultation Service (England and Wales).

This is service will be delivered via a partnership between Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (as lead provider), working in collaboration with Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Our collaborative will be working, hosted by and working jointly with Counter Terror Policing.

Please note this is a national service and there will be a requirement for the successful candidate to travel to other sites at least once per month, including overnight stays.

The successful candidate will work alongside specialist psychiatry, psychology, operational leads from partnered Trusts, nursing leads and all team members along with senior police officers - ensuring high quality and safe delivery of services.

The post holder will also be required to demonstrate the core knowledge and clinical skills required to lead the service effectively noting the subject matter.

The role will require security clearance to SC level with the Metropolitan Police Service - Please note that this is a formal requirement for the job and can take many months to achieve.

Main duties of the job

This leadership post is pivotal to the transformation, development and success of our services and is a key role in supporting our collaborative model of delivery as Lead Provider for this national service.

The post-holder will deliver a wide range of essential leadership functions - working in partnership underpinned by the values of the collaborative.

The post-holder will report directly to the Senior Service Lead and work closely with other members of the Leadership Team for the National service including Policing and clinical leads.The post holder will ensure that safety is optimised for the service, that risks are openly and actively managed, that resource distribution is effectively managed nationally. The post holder will, alongside the Senior Service Lead and Clinical leads ensure that all providers operate in a standardised manner and that systems to capture performance, quality and activity are effectively embedded.

The post-holder will also lead and participate in promotional activities for the service - including briefing stake-holders, providing training and organising the delivery of the annual development plan in partnership with collaborating lead clinicians and support services.

The post-holder will occupy a senior position within the Governance structures for the service - ensuring, alongside clinical leads that standardised governance and case management approaches are implemented within the working model.
