Working as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team within Barnet Division. Our team work as part of a multidisciplinary team which is situated in the Dennis Scott Unit at the Edgware Community Hospital. The ward is a 15 bedded mixed unit offering assessment and treatment to adults suffering from various mental illnesses.
You will have the desire and drive to lead a clinical team of nursing staff, engage with multidisciplinary Team of professionals.
The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, self-aware and resilient, with a desire to provide quality services that meet the Division and partnership goals.
Main duties of the job
Are you an RMN with a strong interest in working with adult with mental illness and meet the following minimum criteria?
- Significant experience working as a band 6 nurse in an inpatient mental health setting
- Skills and experience to carry out managerial duties, supervision, appraisals and team leadership
- Experience of budget management
- Coordinate service user assessments and implementation of care plans in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of managing behaviours seen in adult acute inpatient ward, such as self-harm, aggression, violence
- Work as a role model in leadership and management
- Able to complete PMVA mandatory training
