Barnet, Enfield & Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust

Key Clinician / Care Coordinator

Information:

Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of mental health care for people with complex mood and/or personality disorder traits.

You will be an integral part of a supportive, reflective, and creative MDT and actively encouraged to develop their own clinical areas of interest.

We warmly welcome applications from clinicians from a variety of professional background including nursing, occupational therapy, or social work and really value the unique perspective each of these backgrounds offers.

We would be happy to discuss creating a bespoke role that allows some flexibility for continuing to be connected to your core profession. We can help you access supervision from a senior clinician from the same professional background and look to you having protected time for CPD and development opportunities and for carrying out core tasks related to your profession. We have strong links with senior leaders of a variety of professions, the community OT team, and Haringey Council and would be happy to discuss how these links could be embedded in your role.

The MAP Pathway is an innovative, leading service in the treatment of complex anxiety and depression (with underlying Cluster C PD traits). We focus on helping our service users to increase functioning and meaningful activity. Understanding the social needs of our patients is essential to our work and you will take a lead on integrating this into the treatment offered by the pathway.

Main duties of the job

You will also hold a small caseload of service users with complex difficulties and offer psychologically informed social support, and care coordination. We try and ensure that all patients are known by at least two clinicians, so the role includes a lot of joint working, and you will be well supported by the rest of the MDT. There will also be opportunities to run therapeutic groups if you have an interest in this.

About us

The partnership between Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust (BEH) and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust (C&I) is going from strength to strength since it was originally established in 2021 forming the North London Mental Partnership.

Why choose to join the Partnership?

  • We believe that by working together, our two Trusts can achieve more for the residents of North Central London and our patients than we can by working apart.
  • Deliver the best care using the most up-to-date practise in supporting those with mental health illnesses.
  • Transforming and creating a positive environment for our service users, staff and visitors.
  • Creating and working together to become a great place to work for all our staff.
  • We offer flexible working, a wide range of health and wellbeing initiatives, NHS Pension and so much more.
  • Generous Annual Leave Allowance
  • NHS Discounts in a large variety of retail stores and services.
  • We have excellent internal staff network support groups.
