Partnership Flu/COVID-19 Vaccinator

Job summary
To be a member of the NLMHP Infection Prevention and Control team providing flu and COVID-19 vaccination services to staff across the partnership.
Participate in the planning and delivery of the annual flu vaccination programme and any covid-19 vaccinations to protect staff, reduce sickness absence during winter pressures and to reduce possibility of flu epidemic within the NLMHP.
Participate in the planning and delivery of flu vaccination clinics offered to all NLMHP staff.
Participate in the management of the flu vaccination campaign; maintain records on a day-to-day basis. Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the needs of staff in relation to flu vaccination
Provide education to staff and service users around the benefits, potential risks and the purpose of the flu and covid-19 vaccination and participate.
Update and maintain all database records as required for the campaign
Main duties of the job
- Act as an advocate for the Trust & its contribution to public health through creating and maintaining effective partnerships and relationships with staff and stakeholders.
- Develop and support the Trust culture of collaborative, flexible cross-team working and commitment to delivering the trust flu and covid-19 vaccination campaign.
- Work with sensitivity and an understanding of the issues facing those working to deliver health services.
- Comply with corporate governance structure in keeping with the principles and standards set out by the Trust.
- Aid in improving accessibility of flu and covid-19 jabs, dispel misconceptions and help tackle situations where wards, areas or people are negative towards vaccination.
- Participate in the planning and delivery of the annual flu vaccination programme and any covid-19 vaccinations to protect staff, reduce sickness absence during winter pressures and to reduce possibility of flu epidemic within the NLMHP. Participate in the planning and delivery of flu vaccination clinics offered to all NLMHP staff.
- Liaise with Senior Professionals and related functions to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated. Build and sustain effective communications with other roles involved in the shared projects, programmes or tasks as required.
- Development of an organisational culture that fosters collaborative working among all staff groups to ensure a focused commitment to delivering quality services and outcomes.
