Job summary

We have a vacancy for a Band 5 Admin Team Leader in Haringey and Enfield Substance Misuse Services (part of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust).

This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who feel they can provide high quality leadership and effective day-to-day management for our Admin Team across three sites.

We provide a range of services to people who are worried about their alcohol or drug use. Our Admin Team provide a crucial role in our services, as they are often the first point of contact for our service users. The Admin Team Leader will ensure that we provide the highest quality front of house service, and that admin systems run smoothly to support the clinical teams.

Main duties of the job

  • To provide line management for the Admin Team
    • regular supervision and appraisal,
    • management of sickness and annual leave
    • staff development and mandatory training compliance,
  • To manage recruitment to the Enfield and Haringey SMS Admin Team, and provide comprehensive induction for new staff.
  • To manage Admin Services on a day-to-day basis, including producing weekly rotas and managing unplanned absence to cover services.
  • To work as a member of the Management Team on each site
  • To keep Admin systems and processes under constant review and develop new systems where required
  • To liaise with external suppliers, ordering goods and services, raising purchase orders and managing the payment of invoices.
  • To keep records of budget expenditure for specific non-pay items.
  • To manage any complaints raised with reference to the Admin Team
  • To provide cover for the Enfield and Haringey SM Service Data Team Leader in their absence. This will include data entry, managing data quality issues, and occasionally generating NDTMS (National Drug Treatment Monitoring System) submissions.
  • To lead on Admin aspects of CQC compliance across the services, including ensuring business continuity for eg. Data collection and recording, essential supplies and services.

Our Substance Misuse Services in Haringey and Enfield provide a range of services to people over the age of 18, who are worried about their alcohol and/or drug use. We are an open access service, so people can refer themselves for treatment or we take referrals from professionals such as GPs and Criminal Justice teams.

Our services include substitute prescribing, one-to-one keyworking, groups, access to in-patient detox/residential rehab, and we tailor treatment packages to each service user's needs.

Our teams are well-established and skilled in the field of treatment for substance use.
