Job summary
Haringey Personality Disorder Pathway - Senior Clinician/CAT therapist Band 7 (OT, Psychotherapist, Social worker, psychologist, RMN)
The successful applicant will have experience working with patients who have a diagnosis of Personality Disorder. They will be a qualified Cognitive analytic therapist.
The postholder will work for 15 hours a week, holding a small caseload of patients within the Pathway who require CAT. They will provide individual CAT treatment and reviews to patients in the PD Pathway. They may when indicated provide shorter term CAT informed SCM treatment. They may provide training and supervision to junior staff.
Within the PD pathway there is an emphasis on team based, multi-disciplinary decision making. Supervision is provided individually and in groups. This lends itself to a supportive environment where risk management is shared in the process of treatment planning and delivery.
Main duties of the job
- To provide specialist Cognitive analytic therapy to individuals with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder within the Personality Disorder Pathway
- Formulate and implement appropriate treatment plans and contribute to reviews and new patient assessments when indicated.
- Contribute to the team culture and shared clinical risk management and decision making.
- Act as key worker and work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures
- To be responsible for the provision of Specialist Personality Disorder interventions for people with a primary diagnosis of Emotionally
- Unstable Personality Disorder in individual therapyusing a CAT Treatment model.
- To demonstrate, through case supervision and clinical meetings, the explicit implementation of a CAT model to all clinical work and reflective practice groups.
- To be able to demonstrate the quality of your CAT work through completion of the documentation of the care pathway interventions the service.
- In conjunction with senior colleagues facilitate regular clinical reviews of the implementation of the treatment plan, involving the client, other professionals involved and their family/any other relevant person.
- To offer supervision to colleagues in the Personality Disorder Pathway team, role modelling the Trust's values; Compassion, Respect, Being Positive, and ensuring that your actionshelp junior colleagues work to the best of their ability.

It was the birthplace of MBT and SCM and has a mature and supportive team, where collaborative decision making and personal development are prioritised. For a time CAT informed SCM has been delivered in the Pathway and we are seeking to further develop our CAT provision in the Pathway.
