Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to develop the Non-Opiate Service pathway in Haringey within the Grove substance misuse service. Barnet Enfield and Haringey NHS Trust are the lead providers of this service and work in partnership with Humankind to deliver treatment to residents of Haringey borough. The Post -holder will take a lead in developing this pathway for Non-Opiate Substances within the existing service. The post will involve working with people using drugs such as crystal Meth, cannabis, amphetamine, ketamine, GBH/ GBL, cocaine. They will offer

One to one session as well as developing and offering a group that will be able to further clients. The post- holder will work collaboratively with both statutory and non-statutory services to engage clients who use non-opiate substances, which will include co-locating in specialist service such as IAPT and other services within the Haringey borough. They will also work collaboratively to packages of care for clients to ensure they receive person centered care. The post-holder will be responsible for collecting data that will be used for local reporting, NDTMS and contract reporting purposes. They will take the lead and deliver training on Non-Opiate topics and related to harm reduction principles across a broad range of services. They will work collaboratively with any related research programmes with which the Trust is participating.

  2. Provide comprehensive treatment packages for individuals covering a variety of topics dependent on pattern of usage which include the Non- Opiate substance demographic.
  3. Ensure that services are inclusive and address issues related to marginalize groups who may non opiate substances

8 Educate and involve family members and others in treatment as necessary.

9 To provide comprehensive discharge plan for individuals leaving the service

  1. To manage the specialist Non opiate service in relation to providing assessment, fortnightly keyworking sessions and attempting to re-engage clients to minimize waiting time
  2. Develop a weekly multidisciplinary meeting relating to referrals or clients in treatment .
  3. Develop and deliver specialist services in other satellite clinic where necessary within the borough .
  4. Complete all requirements relating to data collection within the services .

  2. To attend appropriate meeting and lead on the weekly steering and monthly Operational meeting.

  5. To be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies to educate other multi-disciplinary professionals to ensure they can provide advice and support for clients in relation to non-opiate substances .
