Job summary
The post holder will be key member of the Business Systems team and will work closely with colleagues across the Helpdesk, Testing, and Training teams to ensure they are providing a high-quality service to the Trust.
The Business Systems team is responsible for supporting BEH's primary electronic patient record (EPR) system RiO, as well as a number of other clinical and operational systems in use by the trust.
This role enables BEH to further enhance the quality of care to all its patients and directly respond to the increasing cost pressures through use of technology to drive efficiency in its operations; this role is involved at the core of the delivery of system-based benefits to the trust.
Main duties of the job
- Be a subject matter expert for Clinical System configuration; demonstrating skill and providing advice, guidance, and support to operational and corporate teams.
- Liaise with Project Managers in the creation and fulfilment of work packages.
- Liaise with Transformation Leads to scope and define configuration changes.
- Manage local configuration of Clinical Systems from concept, through to implementation and on-going operational management.
- Plan and schedule workload and adjust as required activities and priorities in order to deliver work packages and configuration changes to agreed objectives, standards, and deadlines.
- Provide input to assist the Project Managers and Transformation leads with reviews of plans and proposals; working closely to ensure configuration is progressed in line with plans.
- Interpret As-Is process maps and provide suggestions for To-Be processes.
- Ensure that configuration facilitates the capture of all reporting requirements, including national data sets.
- Contribute as required to facilitate / assist or resolve any system related issues, liaising with 3rd party suppliers where required.
- Lead on the deployment of Electronic Records System within Trust Services.
- Liaise with the Training Team for the development of Electronic Records System training plans.
