Job summary

The Enfield Acute Mental Health team has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Administration Manager to join the team on a 12 month fixed term post.

This post holder will be responsible for the management of an efficient, effective and comprehensive administration team across Enfield Acute Wards and Acute Mental Health Services. You will need to have 2 years NHS and 2 years supervisor experience.

The post holder needs to be flexible, approachable, resilient and with proven managerial experience.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the provision of an efficient, focused acute administrative service.Manage all acute administration staff.Manage administrative staff sickness in line with Trust HR policies, undertaking return to work interviews and keep accurate sickness reports for the administrative team.Undertake supervision and appraisal for all acute administrative staff.Ensure that Acute administration staff undertake and comply with mandatory training.To ensure Acute teams are provided with administration support and cross cover as required.To provide administrative support in meetings, taking and transcribing minutes.To run and collate statistical information as require.Practice a high level of tact, diplomacy and persuasive skills while dealing with all forms of enquiries from staff within the Trust, outside the hospital and patients in a confidential manner whilst understanding the need for patient confidentiality at all times, either in person or over the telephone.Co-ordinate the administrative function within the teams to deliver an efficient and effective service that supports clinical service delivery, service management, service users and carers.To train new and temporary administrative staff on the job ensuring that progress is monitored.Responsible for ensuring compliance with Trust and local protocols for Data Protection, Health and Safety, Security and Fire Safety within the administration team.
