Health Care Assistant

Job summary

Health Care Assistants play a vital role in caring for our patients on Ward 3. They are part of a multi disciplinary team providing care for patients following major orthopaedic surgeries.

The expectation is that the care provided will meet the individual needs of all our patients, whatever the level of dependence.

Care will be tailored to the patients needs and be of a consistently high standard.

Main duties of the job

Complete daily assessments of patients, observations, skin checks, mobility support. Report and escalate concerns. Keep accurate records.

Support with mealtimes.

Perform daily, weekly and monthly cleaning of bed spaces, equipment and ward environment.

Complete The Care Certificate.

Remain up to date with mandatory training requirements both local and national.
