Job summary
1. This role is integral to the implementation of the IM&T Strategy. A programme of work, with agreed priorities, has been approved and this role will ensure successful implementation of these priorities. In addition, they will start to map out the strategic direction of travel for IM&T and for the achievement of the implementation of all clinical and non-clinical systems.2. In addition to strategy implementation, this role will also need to support the management of operational IT Support Services. This will include the achievement of industry best practice for IT support and maintenance, whilst also ensuring support to new developments and system implementation as part of the IM&T Strategy.3. This role will shape and influence Small Systems Development within the Trust within the overall framework of the IM&T Strategy, in order to meet the on-going demands of clinical directorates.4. In addition to these three specific areas, this role will be expected to:? Foster and support partnership arrangements with neighbouring Trusts? Work with Trust colleagues to integrate telephony with data networks? Support the NHS goal of a paperless environment? Supporting the NHS on the Net Zero plans? Promote and develop the external reputation of the Trust as the IT ambassador.

To support us on this exciting journey we are now seeking to appoint a Head of IT Operations
This pot will be responsible for the whole of the IT infrastructure of the Trust, including desktop, server rooms and network devices, and ensuring that the IT hardware and software provide effective and efficient support for all Trust business goals and for all Trust staff. The Head of IT Operations provides technical support and advice to the CDIO and Executive Director of Finance. In addition, the post is responsible for providing IT advice and support to Trust projects and initiatives. The role involves direct line management of the IT Team and managing internal IT projects as well as both pay and considerable non-pay budget management.
