We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Chief Digital and Information Officer at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. This crucial role will provide the leadership and direction of the DDaT (Digital Data and Technology) service and the vision to take the Trust forward across its range of digital and business intelligence services.
The need for Digital Health services and innovation and ensuring the safe use of data has never been more important and we are seeking a forward-thinking individual with the passion and capacity to lead the DDaT service in its continuous improvement quest whilst working across the system and nationally to identify and exploit opportunities to innovate.
Main duties of the job
Our vision at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital is "Less Pain, More Independence, Life-changing care" and we know that maximising the potential of digital health systems and data is critical to the achievement of that vision. In doing so, we believe we can ensure our patients and service users consistently experience great care, and our staff are enabled to deliver that care in a safe and efficient manner by utilising the trusts digital systems.
The DDaT portfolio includes Business Intelligence, Digital Technology, Information Governance, Cyber Security and Digital Transformation.
You will have successfully implemented large scale organisational change and have considerable demonstrable experience of managing large teams of staff where possible. We have a dedicated team who strive to do the best for our patients and service users.
You will have responsibility for developing the trusts new Digital Strategy ensuring alignment with the regions BSOL ICS digital strategy. The trust is currently striving to meet the national level of digital capability standards (Digital Competency Framework) and you will have responsibility for ensuring the trust reaches this target.
