The Division of Specialist Services at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a Project Support Officer to support the management of projects through to completion which support services to achieve specific goals, enabling a smooth and resilient running of our services, and facilitate the health of our Wigan population.The Project Support Officer will work with multiple clinical services, facilitating projects, supporting in varied activities pertaining to transformation, business development and performance.The post is varied and offers exciting opportunities to focus on the improvement of clinical services.

Main duties of the job

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Give project support on designated performance improvement projects.
  • Monitor and report on project activities as required.
  • Provide support in the drafting of reports, interpretation or data, and collating relevant information where necessary.
  • Support implementation of projects, services and initiatives through timely and relevant information analysis and administrative support, in accordance with the agreed priorities of the Team.
  • Support service improvement initiatives and contribute to proposals for service improvements, including delivering training to varied audiences to facilitate change, as required.
  • Preparation of general presentation materials as appropriate such as posters, PowerPoint, Excel and Word documents.
  • To support procurement activities as appropriate.
  • Gather, analyse and interpret complex data to support production of detailed, concise reports and documents, suitable for formal presentation.

  • Support Service Managers with delivery of milestones through proactive monitoring, ensuring any gaps, risks and issues are escalated in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that change management is supported effectively by working with relevant stakeholders within directorates.
  • Work with members of the team to develop and implement project data collection systems that will provide accurate and timely data.
  • Take action to highlight performance information, specifically relating to non-compliance with programme standards and processes.
