Senior Healthcare Support Worker - Orrell Ward

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has been created for a Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join Orrell ward at the Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, Wigan.

We are looking to recruit a full time (37.5 hours per week) Senior Healthcare Support Worker on a permanent basis.

You will work with a team of advanced healthcare professionals throughout the organisation and will have opportunity for continuous learning and development. You will need excellent communication skills and be able to work at pace.

We are looking for individuals who have experience of working in an high acuity area.

Please note to be eligible for the post, you must hold a recongised NVQ Level 2/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Careor Care Certificate.

Main duties of the job

The Healthcare Support Worker will work as part of the ward team with supervision of registered practitioners to provide effective, safe patient focused care at all times.

Contribute to the development of the care environment with a positive, professional attitude.

Contribute to the maintenance of daily provision of service and care to meet the individual needs of patients and department.

To support the smooth running of the ward and ensure patients, relatives and carers are dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner.

You will ensure that policies and guidelines are adhered to.
