Job summary
The Learning & Development Team are a busy team implementing and overseeing various programmes which includes the Trust wide Apprenticeship and Talent for Care programmes.
We work closely with our stakeholders across the Wigan borough and Greater Manchester district and within WWL to promote employment and development opportunities for our local communities and to develop our own workforce.
This 12 month, fixed term contract role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual seeking to progress their career in Learning & Development and Talent for Care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will implement the NHS Talent for Care Strategy, particularly around developing opportunities for people to start their career in the NHS. The role will also involve effectively promoting the benefits of apprenticeship opportunities across the Trust, attracting new apprenticeships, and supporting managers and staff to maximise the use of the apprenticeship levy effectively. The post holder will be required to work on Trust premises and Wigan and Leigh College on occasion to meet the role requirements.
