A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work on Langtree Ward as a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker..
You are required to have an NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Health and Social Care / BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care or have completed the NHS approved Care Certificate to be eligible for this role.
We will be looking for enthusiasm, drive and passion where the delivery of outstanding levels of care can be nurtured. You will have excellent communication skills and the flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of this busy area.
The successful candidate will be efficient, reliable and be able to work using their own initiative whilst being part of a team.You will be a motivated and confident healthcare assistant dedicated to assisting in the delivery and the development of an excellent service.
You will be required to work a shift pattern of 12 hours days and nights including weekends.
The role will require you to work across all areas in the Trust which includes those that are designated as positive, asymptomatic and negative COVID wards.
If we are unable to recruit to the Band 3 posts, then we may consider candidates for Band 2 roles.

- Working under the direction of a Registered Health Care Professional, participate in the clinical care provided to patients prioritising workload appropriately and developing competencies that safeguard practice and effectiveness in role

- Following the completion of appropriate training and assessment and under the direction of a registered health care professional undertake clinical activities such as ECG recording, urinalysis, changing of simple wound dressings and capillary blood glucose monitoring.Female insertion of catheters, catheter care, removal of catheters stoma care, measuring and monitoring patient outputs
