I am looking to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic autonomous Associate Chief Nurse. Working with two other Associate Chief Nurse(s) the postholder will have an exciting patient centred focused portfolio covering Harm Free Care, Quality and Patient experience. Reporting into me via my Deputy Chief Nurse team this post is ideal for those candidates aspiring to be a Deputy Chief Nurse/Deputy Director Nursing, or an Operational Nurse Leader wanting a corporate nursing role. Collaborative working with our Divisional Director of Nursing and Midwifery, Chief AHP and Senior Nursing, Midwifery and AHP Team is an essential part of this role. You will utilise your skills to lead change & innovation through others whilst being a support to Divisional leaders to improve and eliminate patient harm through a harm free care transformation programme.

This role both leads and coordinates our ASPIRE Ward accreditation programme.

Looking for a senior nurse leader who can take our Harm Free Care, Quality and Patient experience Agenda to the next level with the aspiration of making us a flagship provider with an outstanding reputation in GM and beyond. Our NMALT team have the aspiration to go from good to outstanding and so this role is a key role in our senior team to make that happen.

Main duties of the job

  • Development, implementation, and oversight of the delivery of the Trust Patient Experience, Involvement and Engagement Strategy
  • Lead on the Trust Wide Accreditation Process to assist in the CQC journey to Outstanding including the development of metrics to promote excellence and improvement across Maternity, Community Services, ED, Outpatients and Theatres
  • Develop and oversee the management of the accreditation process across all sites and clinical areas within the Trust
  • Develop, lead, and manage local strategies and action plans that are inclusive and are representative of the local communities.
  • Establishing and work with user and carer-led organisational networks to foster partnership working with community groups and voluntary organisations.
  • Lead on supporting the Trust in the delivery of patient led service redesign via patient engagement and lived patient experience in order to drive improvement
  • Support clinical divisions with the development of quality improvement plans that provide assurance of embedded change across the Trust

  • To support clinical divisions with the development of quality improvement plans that provide assurance of embedded change across the Trust
  • To represent the Chief Nurse on a range of internal and external events relating to the portfolio
  • To develop and present reports based on complex, real-time and national patient experience feedback, and work in close collaboration with the Deputy Chief Nurses to combine this information with nursing metrics.
