Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our well established IT Training team to deliver both classroom and eLearning training for a number of clinical systems e.g. Patient Administration, Electronic Patient Record, Theatres system, Bed Management Systmone and Digital Dictation in addition to computer and digital skills courses.
We are looking for someone with experience of working within a Health Care Environment with admin or clinical background to join our team. You will have excellent working knowledge of Community systems, communication skills, be well organised and have excellent presentation skills with the ability to engage various staff groups.
You will be educated to Degree level or equivalent and it would be advantageous to hold a recognised teaching/training qualification and have experience of developing eLearning packages. However this is not essential and training will be given.
Please Note: This post is advertised on a secondment basis for 6 months.
Candidates will be required to produce original certificates for qualifications at interview stage.You will need to be flexible in your approach to work as you will be required to train on the various sites across the Trust and on occasions train during early mornings/evenings to meet the needs of the service. Main duties of the job
You will deliver training in formal and informal environments to individuals and groups of staff across the Trust in collaboration with other IT trainers within the team. You will also be expected to train and support staff to attain and improve upon their basic IT skills and support them with changes or new systems Go Live.
This vacancy is open to all internal candidates. NHS Employees should ideally secure their manager's agreement for a secondment arrangement ideally prior to applying, as this will be a condition of any offer made. This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term basis due to funding and will end in 6 months . - To deliver training and provide support on a flexible basis to all system users during the implementation period for new developments.
- Ensure that new / enhanced functionality and data quality requirements are understood and training materials are updated as appropriate
- To design lesson plans and deliver training to end system users in accordance with agreed standards. This includes 1-1, Classroom, Large groups and developing eLearning packages where appropriate.
- Maintain a complete and up-to-date attendance / DNA / cancellation record for training courses.
- Developing appropriate end user training materials, reference materials, certificates, handouts and promotional materials for distribution within the Trust and on the intranet
- Support users in booking appropriate IT training courses for users
- As part of the IT Training Team you will be required on a rotational basis to prioritise and manage requests for user support via the Call Logging System. Responding quickly and appropriately via telephone, e-mail and remote access tool and correctly updating incidents logged ensuring Service Level Agreements are achieved.
- Provide administration duties of the eLearning portal
- Production of monthly reports such as pay progression, mandatory training divisional and Trust reports
- Developing e-learning material in conjunction with subject matter experts
- Improving the quality assurance of the data on the eLearning portal
- Responsible for maintaining the mandatory / professional skills matrix in accordance with the decisions authorised by the Education Governance Group
- Set up and management of a rigorous process for reviewing and updating e-learning content
