What Makes This Role Special

You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our talented team of clinical leads, collaborating closely with theClinical Director, Consultants, Head of Nursing and Operations, and an engaged operational management team. Together, you'll influence strategy, champion innovation, and help steer the service into its next exciting chapter.

You'll also take part in theon-call rota, providing senior, expert support to ensure high-quality care remains seamless and responsive around the clock.

Lead, Inspire, and Elevate Clinical Excellence

As a Clinical Lead, you'll be the anchor of clinical leadership across a diverse range of Acute Care at Home teams, including:

  • Community Rapid Intervention Service
  • Virtual Ward
  • Pharmacy Team
  • Quality Lead

You'll be a recognised expert in your field -- a source of specialist advice, education, and advanced clinical decision-making that empowers staff and enhances patient outcomes. Your leadership will help embed a culture of curiosity, continuous learning, and high-impact practice.

Main duties of the job

o Provide overall leadership and management responsibility for the clinical teams across the Acute Care at Home (ACAH) Service.

o Translate the Acute Care at Home vision and values into effective, empowered clinical teams that meet the needs of service users across Staffordshire.

o Maintain a high-fidelity focus on Quality and Governance to ensure compliance with national, regional and local standards, policies, and procedures.

o Act as a key stakeholder--alongside Operational Teams--in developing a flexible and sustainable workforce.

o Participate in the Senior Manager on-call rota.

o Identify resource requirements and communicate effectively with staff to ensure appropriate utilisation, including contingency planning and adjustments.

o Be responsible for developing policy and procedure relating to Advanced Practice across ACAH.

o Propose, draft, interpret, and implement policies and guidelines impacting the ACAH service.

o Support the Head of Operations with interpretation of national policy and standards, adapting and implementing relevant guidelines.

o Lead and promote compliance with best practice across the ACAH, developing mechanisms for shared learning and clinical networking.

o Lead and innovate the service vision for hospital admission avoidance through multiprofessional collaboration and a comprehensive understanding of services across Staffordshire.

  • Independent non-medical prescribing
