As a specialist mental health team we in Core CAMHS, support young people with moderate, severe and enduring mental health and emotional wellbeing difficulties.
In the role you will join a robust multidisciplinary team, providing assessment and interventions for children and young people with complex, severe, and persistent emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties.
There will be scope for creativity in this team, to develop evidence-based interventions, to think systemically and work collaboratively with children, young people and families, informed by the local Transformation Plan, Future in Mind and the THRIVE framework.

Main duties of the job
- Assessing and providing therapeutic interventions for young people who require intervention and support from a secondary mental health service.
- oversight and delivery of the provision of planned recovery focused care working in partnership with young people, carers and other professionals.
- working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and other services to provide seamless and holistic care for young people, this may include, social care, schools or our other partnership agencies.
- management of a caseload, which includes, assessment, care-planning in conjunction with service user and carer and utilising service specific outcome measures to guide and evaluate effectiveness of individual treatment plans
- opportunity to be involved in service transformation and service improvement to meet the needs of children and young people in the local area.
- provide supervision to junior colleagues.
