This is an exciting time to join Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) and our Strategy & Transformation Directorate as we continue to strengthen our approach to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. As a key part of our transformation journey, we are recruiting a dynamic and motivated Head of Business (Band 8B)to support the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Care Group. This is a pivotal role within a forward-thinking directorate that is committed to innovation, collaboration, and delivering meaningful change for our communities.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will:

Maintain an overview of major initiatives and programmes and create and environment to support and implement each individual project/work stream within it, whilst ensuring that users are fully engaged and that business focus is maintained.

Be expected to link all PMO, programme management activity and business planning process into Care Groups to support effective local planning that resonates with local need and is in line with Trust Strategy.

Plan, support, facilitate and monitor the progress of projects across sites and the Group. The post holder will also lead on identified projects within the programme, ensuring that key milestones are met within the agreed timeframes to ensure the success of project delivery.

Manage all aspects of the business of the group working with the Managing Directors

Be expected to form local networks of partners to support Care Group delivery and work with all sectors on the development of Care Group plans.

Be able to demonstrate a local knowledge based on data and evidence of need including public health epidemiology, trends and local political drivers and sensitivities.

Will help lead and provide support and monitor the progress of Business Case development, service development proposals, strategic planning, Business Planning, scoping documents, project management and monitoring, assurance, governance and performance of service activity and Commissioning Projects across the Group.
