This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Band 5 Registered Nurse who is seeking development.

We are a 24/7 365 service and would require you to work on a shift basis, however; we will consider requests for flexible working in line with the requirements of the service.

You may be required to work between the Haywood and Cheadle Hospitals.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 6 Nurse you will assess and develop plans of care that enables patients to achieve their optimum level of self-dependency whist recognising the individuals' needs.

  • Provide day-to-day supervision and management of safe practice, supporting and deputising for the Ward Manager or deputy in their absence

As part of this role, you will:

  • Deliver an agreed patient plan of care utilising a holistic approach.
  • Evaluate the plan of care liaising with the Multidisciplinary Team as appropriate.
  • Planning for the discharge of patients according to individual assessment.
  • Refer and liaise as necessary with appropriate statutory and voluntary agencies,acting as an advocate for patients as required.
  • As a team member you will participate in the delivery of direct patient care, improving the quality of the patient's journey and experience.
  • Administer drug therapy ensuring the safe custody of drugs.
