Job summary
The North Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Integrated MSK Service (NIMS) Chronic Pain Team are looking for an Advanced Physiotherapist to join our experienced team.
You will be required to hold avalid HCPC registration,be able to evidence advanced clinical skills as a senior clinician working with patients with long-term chronic pain and have a clear desire to expand your knowledge & skills with a capacity for autonomous clinical decision-making and problem solving.
We are looking for a team player who is an excellent communicator, has a solution-focused outlook and emotional resilience. You will need to be open, honest & compassionate, as you will be required to lead difficult conversations and support for patients regarding the prognosis of their condition.
You will need to have the ability to process large amounts of complex information, work flexibly, and respond calmly to rapidly changing circumstances with a drive to develop effective professional working relationships.
Main duties of the job
As part of your role in The North Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Integrated MSK Service (NIMS) Chronic Pain Team you will:
- Providing chronic pain assessments & treatments in a variety of settings 1:1, group and virtual.
- Ability to support development and delivery of structured interdisciplinary education for the team, including day-to-day clinical support for physiotherapists and other health care professionals.
- Working closely with other teams/agencies - involvement in addressing a range of support issues across MSK and pain conditions.
- Supporting service development and delivery of local and Trust wide projects.
