Job summary
This is a dynamic role that requires you to work closely with uni/multi-disciplinary teams/agencies in addressing a range of care/support issues across the spectrum of conditions, preventing unnecessary hospital admissions and improving the health and wellbeing of those within our care.
You will provide supervisory, training and leadership responsibilities where appropriate and will have some responsibility for team performance and service developments/improvements and demonstrate initiative and creativity in finding solutions to problems.
You may be required to deputise for the Podiatry Clinical Lead in a professional capacity as required along with supporting and overseeing excellent podiatry practice through mentorship and day to day guidance to team members and other professionals.
We are able to offer both full time and part time roles within the service, working flexibly across a variety of locations across the Trust. We would also consider a development opportunity, with a structured process in place to support you meeting the requirements of this fantastic position in the team. You will be required to travel independently over a large geographical area and ideally have a driving licence and access to suitable transport to meet the requirements of the role.
Main duties of the job

Establish and maintain effective working relationships both within the organisation and with external organisations to meet service requirements and support whilst demonstrating Trust's values.
Leadin the management of complex cases within the field of diabetes/wound management, supporting other staff and co-working when needed.
Undertake assessments, working with service users to develop needs and outcome focussed treatment/support plans. Assesses service users and formulates, develops, implements and evaluates programmes of treatment/care/support for individuals, families and carers.
Provide advice and support others including co-working cases with the less experienced and unregistered staff. Participate in and support staff to apply eligibility criterion and quality assurance processes.

- Degree level relevant professional qualification or equivalent.
- Registration with HCPC
- Relevant Post Graduate studies/qualification or equivalent clinical courses within area of clinical expertise
- Up to date field work/pre-registration student training
Desirable
- Master's qualification in relevant area that will support the delivery of the service
- If not already obtained, a commitment to undertaking Master's level modules
- Further clinical study relevant to clinical practice such as management of long-term conditions.
- Attendance at relevant forums e.g. Special Interest Groups.
EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Significant experience in the clinical specialism.
- Supporting service users, families and carers.
- Experience of negotiation and conflict management and in clinical situations
