If it is identified that you require sponsorship to undertake this role your application may be withdrawn An opportunity has arisen for an experiencedBand 7 Advanced Occupational Therapist to join our Children and Young People's Community Eating Disorders Service on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.
This NHS provision delivers aspecialist community eating disorders service for children and young people aged 8-18 across South Staffordshire.
You will join a highly experienced, supportive and forward-thinking multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based care. The team is friendly, collaborative and focused on service innovation. Our service receives excellent feedback, with 100% of surveyed service users reporting they would recommend the service.
The role involves managing a complex caseload of children and young people with eating disorders, delivering specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions as part of a holistic care plan. You will work closely with families and the wider multidisciplinary team to support recovery and positive outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with CAMHS or eating disorder experience who is passionate about supporting young people and making a meaningful difference.
*Travel across localities will be required*
Main duties of the job
- Working clinically as an advanced OT in Children and young people's eating disorders service with the flexibility of working across pathways, dependent on skills, service need and agreed collaborative working arrangements.
- Delivering a high quality clinical service to patients and their families.
- Providing leadership as an Occupational Therapy specialist within the Children and young people's eating disorders service. The post holder would be expected to provide leadership, advice and guidance to OT colleagues and other team members from across different professional groups.
- Managing a complex caseload and responsible for clinical and caseload supervision of other team members.
- The post holder will be responsible for providing the specialist Occupational Therapy process to the Children and young people's eating disorders service
- Delivering specialist Occupational Therapy interventions, in accordance with an agreed care plan, to an identified population of services users and their families.
- Delivering individual and group based interventions in line with the pathway model and evidence base relevant to the client group
- Undertaking the role of shift coordinator on behalf of the pathway.
