An opportunity has arisen for a Care Act Assessor role within the East Staffs IRT Adult Social Care Team. The successful applicant will be based at Edwin House, Burton although currently there are opportunities to also work between home and the office.
This is a busy, fast paced and demanding role and will include the telephone screening of referrals, which are received directly into IRT and completing Statutory Care Act Assessments under the supervision of the Practice Lead. The successful applicant will be working closely with service-users, carers, partner agencies and other professionals responding to referrals received by the team and determining the level of response required.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and innovative individual who possesses excellent communication & organisational skills and has a good working knowledge of the Care Act 2014. The individual must be positive and work flexibly as part of a team with a strong commitment to the personalisation agenda.
Main duties of the job

It is highly desirable for the candidate to have some previous experience of working with vulnerable adults or adults with a disability. Other essential skills are a confident telephone manner and good computer literacy.
Following an induction and training period there will be some opportunity for blended working balanced between the home and office environment. You will require a driving license and a vehicle for business use.
