We are seeking an enthusiastic Deputy Medical Staffing Service Lead.
You will be joining a small and friendly well-established team, where you will be responsible for:
Supporting the delivery of training to medical / dental staff and managers around the use of Allocate software for purposes of appraisal, revalidation and job planning, as well as Health Roster.
- Responsible, in discussion with the Medical Staffing Service Lead, for developing processes associated with Medical Appraisal, Job planning and Revalidation, assisting with the delivery of training to staff.
- Deputising for the Medical Staffing Manager in periods of absence
Main duties of the job
- The Post Holder will be required to deputise for the Medical Staffing Service Lead and support with a wide range of tasks and cover colleagues as required.
- To be a lead specialist and provide expert advice to stakeholders on all medical & dental terms and conditions of service, practices and procedures.
- Remain up to date with changes in practice and legislation in relation to medical staffing and ensure best practice at all times.
- To assist the Medical Staffing Service Lead with the development, review, and implementation of policies and procedures relating to medical staff and to make proposals for new initiatives or policy in line with best practice.
- Advise the Clinical Directors / Consultants / Operational Managers in the development of job descriptions and person specification for medical posts in the absence of the Medical Staffing Service Lead.
- Responsible, in discussion with the Medical Staffing Service Lead, for developing processes associated with Medical Appraisal, Job planning and Revalidation, assisting with the delivery of training to staff.
- Submission of revalidation requests to the GMC and updating Medical Appraisal software.
