The CAMHS early years practitioner will provide a supportive function in the assessment, care and treatment of children seen by the CAMHS Early Years' Service. They will contribute to the assessment of individual children seen by the team. In particular they will contribute to the assessment of the child's social, emotional, behavioural and development skills. They will also deliver prescribed packages of care to individual children and their families. This will include the delivery of parenting groups, attachment-based interventions and attention & listening sessions.
Main duties of the job
To contribute to assessment for young children and families accessing the Early Years Service.
To provide interventions within scope of practice to a caseload of families.
To contribute to team operational and clinical meetings.
To record all aspects of work on clinical record system.
Demonstrable skills in communication with wide range of different stakeholders including families, professionals both internal and external.
To have a strong motivation to contribute to ongoing service development and service improvement.
