Senior DMI Trainer Band 6
Working within a team of Trainers, the post holder will deliver and further develop violence, aggression and challenging behaviour training programmes for all care professionals in the Trust, in line with our agreed mandatory training strategy. This will include supporting theory and skills assessments, continued development of a robust competency framework and assisting with the regular review of skill mix and care needs. In addition, you will work directly within the clinical area, advising and supporting the development of staff competency and confidence in managing challenging situations. You will therefore need to be an excellent practitioner who is seen as a role model.
Main duties of the job
Inform and lead on mandatory training requirements for the whole Trust
Tosupport delivery,build and help develop the current training programme supporting the professional development of all care staff
To support the development of competence of the care teamin line with agreed educational development strategies and priorities
To work regularly with the care team within the clinical rota,role modelling, advising and supporting their development of competency and confidence

To generate and use appropriate learning opportunities and apply own learning to the future development of practice
To maintain a Personal Development Portfolio, in line with Trust Policy and Professional Registration
